Location
Serve Here, Worship Here, Play Here
NCC is located in Papillion, a suburb of the greater Omaha Metro area. Over-looking the Omaha skyline, our new campus spans 80 acres of land. Buildings include the adjoining office building and dorm, which contain more than 60,000 square feet of classrooms, dorm suites, our student center, the cafeteria and faculty and staff offices. There are also two four-plex apartment buildings, built in the fall of 2007 for our married students. Most recently, on August 30th, 2011, the students and faculty celebrated their first chapel in the new Ministry Equipment Center; the MEC has an auditorium that seats 500, as well as classrooms, practice rooms, a preaching lab and a coffee bar.
Papillion is a thriving community with a variety of opportunities for our students. Two miles from the campus is Walnut Creek Recreational Park with a walking path and a fishing lake. Five miles away is a large outdoor mall – Shadow Lake- with a variety of shopping options and restaurants. Seven miles away is the heart of Papillion, with more opportunities for recreation, shopping and dining.
Opportunities to serve are crucial to the NCC student experience. Because of the metro/urban location, students can become involved in serving many different demographics and arenas. Students who are interested in cross-cultural ministry, rural ministry, children’s/student/youth ministry, adult or geriatric ministry, serving the homeless or working with survivors of abuse, or just the average, everyday service to their fellow man/woman can all find their place…Right here, right now!
For fun, there is the College World Series, The Henry Doorly Zoo, major college athletic events, and concerts (from Bon Jovi to Tenth Avenue North to Michael Buble to Justin Beiber to U2), not to mention the US National Swimming Trials, dining in the Old Market , and, of course, shopping from A-Z. This also means that there are plenty of opportunities for students who need to work while they are in college. We encourage you to explore the greater Omaha area…it could be your home for the next 4 years!
