Michael Cahill, M.Div. (picture coming soon)
Assistant Professor of Youth Ministry

A graduate of NCC (2001), Mike joined the faculty team in 2011 to focus on helping the emerging generation of youth leaders clearly communicate the gospel message to today’s youth culture.  He previously spent 13 years in ministry, both as a youth minister and as a senior pastor.  He has also completed 6 marathons so far.

David Haynes, M.Min.
Associate Professor of Preaching Ministry

With over forty years of experience as a pastor and church planter, Professor Haynes brings wisdom and compassion into his ministry at NCC.  Mr. Haynes joined the faculty in 2004. A graduate of Ozark Christian College and Creighton University, he is active in teaching, mentoring, and counseling students to love Jesus passionately and loving others deeply.

David Hook, M.F.A. (picture coming soon)
Associate Professor of Worship Arts

Mr. Hook joined the NCC faculty team in 2011 to lead the Worship Arts department.  He has been a worship pastor for 28 years, and loves to read sermons from Puritan pastors such as William Gurnall, as well as John Piper and John Owens.  His passion is helping students discover and enjoy the wonder of how God has called them to join Him in His work.  For therapy he goes to Disney land, and his only wish is that Nebraska had an ocean.

Mark Huddleston, D. Min.
Professor of Greek and World Missions, Registrar

Following several years’ service as a missionary with Pioneer Bible Translators, Dr. Huddleston has served NCC as a professor of missions and languages since 1997. With an educational background that includes studies in math (Milligan College), systematic theology (Emory University), linguistics (University of Texas), and a Doctorate of Ministry (Emmanuel School of Religion), Dr. Huddleston has a variety of disciplines that he brings to bear in thinking creatively about missions and church growth.

David Huskey, M.A.
Chief Student Officer, Associate Professor of Bible, Director of Mentored Ministry

David has been with NCC since 2002. He has a passion for helping students in their spiritual formation and how the Holy Spirit uses the Scriptures to shape us into well-formed followers of Jesus. David is actively involved in international ministry in Trinidad and Tobago and Haiti. He considers himself an aspiring chef and in the summers can be found on his front porch listening the St. Louis Cardinals baseball game on the radio.  He is a D.Min student in the area of spiritual formation at Lincoln Christian University.

Kelvin Jones, Ph.D.
Professor of Theology and Biblical Studies

Dr. Jones is dedicated to shaping students who understand and live out a Biblical world-view. A dedicated student of scripture, Dr. Jones has earned degrees from Boise Bible College, Cincinnati Bible Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Married and the father of seven children, Dr. Jones loves outdoor activities and an intense game of paintball.

Leslie Stevens, M.A.C.
Dean of Women, Adjunct Professor of Psychology and Counseling

Mrs. Stevens is a distinguished graduate of NCC with a strong desire to help women as they prepare for ministry and life. A graduate of Lincoln Christian Seminary, she has experience in church and missions work, as well as counseling.  She loves discipling college-age women and helping them in their spiritual challenges and struggles. She also helps with the women’s volleyball team.  She is recently married and also enjoys cooking, reading, and the outdoors.

Mark Krause, Ph.D.
Academic Dean, Professor of Bible and Ministry

Dr. Krause comes to NCC with a background in both the academic world and church ministry. He is a long-term writer for Standard Publishing and for the Christian Standard. He is the co-author of a commentary of the Gospel of John and a consulting editor for the Stone-Campbell Journal. He plays the violin and enjoys classical music.

Bob Milliken, Ph.D.
Professor of Christian Thought and Humanities

Dr. Milliken is a graduate of NCC and of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, at which he taught for 19 years. He is an avid mountain climber, completing over 130 ascents. An advocate of influencing culture through the arts, Dr. Bob is the editor of Doxa, an undergraduate Christian literary journal, and coordinates the annual NCC film festival. An accomplished author himself, his most recent book, titled “The Love I Choose to Remember,” is for families in the process of healing from divorce.  He is also the pastor of Sidney Church of Christ, in Sidney, IA, and loves to work with international students.

Stephanie Rowe, M.S.
Assistant Professor of Family Ministry and Counseling

Mrs. Rowe is an NCC alumna, and achieved her master’s in Community Counseling at UNO. She is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, and has invested over 10 years in the family service field.  She has her own private counseling practice, from which she is on sabbatical, due to the recent birth of her second son.  Her passion is teaching and speaking to young adults, and she loves the Nebraska Huskers!

Eric Smith, M.A.
Instructor of Old Testament Studies

Mr. Smith loves teaching, studying, and challenging people to rethink the value of the Old Testament. He is also passionate about the church and leading the church to influence culture. Eric’s undergraduate degree is in music composition and he is currently working on his Ph.D. at Trinity College-Bristol.

Barry Stackhouse
Instructor of Worship Arts

Mr. Stackhouse brings over twenty years of experience as a professional musician, composer, and audio/visual technician to the classroom. The newest professor at NCC, he has earned degrees from the Community College of the Air Force, University of Nebraska at Omaha. He also serves at part of the worship ministry team at Calvary Christian Church in Bellevue, NE.

Rachel Wetjen (picture coming soon)
Instructor of Worship Arts

Mrs. Wetjen has been working at NCC since 2008.  An alumna of NCC, her degree is in Music Education, and she has begun her master’s in the same concentration at UNO.  She loves to sing, teach, teach voice lessons, and work with the choir.  In her spare time, she can be found reading, gardening, and camping in the great outdoors.
