The Loren T. and Melva M. Swedburg Library
In 1996, the NCC library was officially named the Loren T. and Melva M. Swedburg library in honor of long-time and beloved Academic Dean and faculty member of Nebraska Christian College. Joining the faculty in 1953, Dean Swedburg began a work which spanned three decades. He was later joined on the faculty by his wife, Melva, who became a recognized leader in the field of Christian Education. The library is lovingly dedicated in honor of their example of a Christian walk, commitment and love of learning.
The library includes the following collections: main library, computer lab, periodicals archives, Guy B. Dunning collection and the Gunderson Bible collection. This is your library. We hope you will find it a valuable asset in your pursuit of lifelong learning and you will make full use of its resources.

Donation Policy
The library at Nebraska Christian College has benefited greatly through the years from donations from generous friends and alumni. Donations of books, magazines and other materials are welcomed. This is a good way to help the library build its collection. The following is a list of guidelines if you are considering making a donation to the Loren T. and Melva M. Swedburg Library:
- All donations become the property of the library.
- The donor is asked to give the materials to the library without placing any restrictions on their use and circulation.
- Donated materials which are viewed as useful to the educational programs and mission of Nebraska Christian College will be added to the library collection. Any materials which are not added to the collection will be sold to the public, given to missions or given to other libraries. The proceeds from sale of donated items will be used to purchase new library materials or given to missions.
- As the recipient, the library cannot legally appraise gifts, so no receipt will be given. An acknowledgment letter will be sent, however, which will list the items donated.
