The first thing you need to understand about Nebraska Christian College is that we have been, since our inception, a Bible college.  That means we offer degrees in the Bible.  Students can choose between an Associates Degree or a Bachelors Degree while at NCC.  The associates degree is a two year degree designed to provide a basic educational grounding in Biblical studies, ministry studies, and general studies. Students in the AA often want a grounding in their faith and more knowledge of the Bible, but are not interested in pursuing vocational ministry. The majority of students at NCC are pursuing a bachelor’s degree because it is designed for students who are interested primarily in vocational ministry or want to pursue a graduate or seminary degree. All of our BA programs have a major in Bible, as well as core in a specialized area of ministry. We also offer a Bachelor of Theology degree for students who want an extra year of study in Bible and theology.

Bachelor of Arts Programs of Study

  • Biblical Interpretation
  • Children’s Ministry
  • Christian Thought and Humanities
  • Family Life and Counseling Ministry
  • Market Place Ministry
  • Preaching Ministry
  • Student Ministry
  • World Missions
  • Worship Arts

Associates of Arts Programs of Study

  • Bible-Based Teaching Education
  • Christian Ministry
  • General Studies

Regardless of degree and program, All students can expect to spend roughly 1/3 of their class time in biblical studies, 1/3 of their time in general education courses, and the final 1/3 of their time in ministry studies.  We want students that know the Bible, have a general understanding of the greater world around them, and develop the ministerial expertise to prepare each student for their chosen work.  So you are still asking, “What can I do with a degree from NCC?”  The simple answer is lead and serve.  Our alumni are leading and serving around the world in a variety of church and marketplace ministries. They are missionaries, preachers, church planters, college professors, student and children’s ministers, social workers, worship leaders and musicians, counselors, school teachers, coaches, writers and editors, judges, business owners, engineers, doctors and nurses. The list is endless because God calls us to influence all aspects of culture as salt and light.
